465-bed hospital, level 2 Trauma Center, (soon to be a Level 1). 100% Inpatient, flexible four 10-hour shifts per week (6am-4pm), some weekends, Coverage is typically two PAs during the week and one on weekends, Perform primary inpatient management, and/or OR coverage. No outpatient clinics. Surgical cases including cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery, EVH experience preferred, Bedside procedures inpatient - chest tube/pacer wire removal, intra-aortic balloon pump removal, suturing. Daily expectations: morning rounds, orders, admissions, consults, discharges, coordination of care, progress notes, pager, first assist in OR, Typical daily census 15-20 patients. Willing to train potential candidates, experience preferred.
